Pickup truck and SUV transport takes a bit more planning than shipping a sedan. Large trucks and SUVs are heavier, taller, and longer, so they affect how a carrier balances weight and arranges vehicles on the trailer. Sahara Auto Transport accounts for that from the first quote, matching your truck or SUV with a carrier that has room in the right deck position and enough capacity for the load. The result is an accurate price up front and a pickup that goes as planned, without surprises on the day the driver arrives.
We ship everything from compact crossovers and midsize pickups to crew cab long beds, three-quarter-ton and one-ton trucks, duallys, and full-size SUVs. Factory-stock trucks ride on standard open carriers every day. If yours has a lift kit, oversized tires, a roof rack, a camper shell, or a hitch setup that adds length, tell us when you request a quote. Those details change how the truck fits on the trailer and which equipment we book.

What you get
Why customers choose Sahara for this
Right-sized equipment
We book carriers with the deck space and weight capacity to handle full-size and heavy-duty trucks safely.
Accurate quotes
Sharing cab size, bed length, and modifications up front means the price you see is the price you can book.
Vetted, insured carriers
Every carrier we use holds active federal operating authority and cargo insurance before it ever hauls your vehicle.
Modified trucks welcome
Leveling kits, bigger tires, and mild lifts ship all the time. Taller builds get the right trailer position or specialized equipment.
Keep miles off the truck
Big trucks burn a lot of fuel on long drives. Shipping keeps fuel costs, mileage, and wear off your odometer.
Step by step
How Pickup Truck & SUV Transport works
Mile 01
Give us the exact specs
Share the year, make, model, cab style, bed length, and any lift, tire, rack, or hitch upgrades. Height and length decide the equipment.
Mile 02
We match the trailer
Sahara books a carrier with the right deck position and weight capacity for your truck or SUV, then confirms your pickup window.
Mile 03
Clear the bed and load
Empty the bed and cargo area, remove hitch accessories, then walk around the vehicle with the driver and sign the Bill of Lading.
Mile 04
Delivery and walkaround
The driver calls ahead, unloads at or near your address, and reviews the truck or SUV with you before final sign-off.

Getting your truck or SUV ready to ship
Truck beds and SUV cargo areas make it tempting to pack extra stuff, but carriers work under strict weight limits and are not licensed to haul household goods. Clear out the bed, remove anything loose in the cargo area, and take off bike racks, cargo boxes, and ball mounts if you can. A bolted-in toolbox can often stay if it is locked and empty, but ask us first so the carrier knows ahead of time.
If your truck has been lifted, measure its height from the ground to the highest point, including any light bar or roof rack. Note whether it has a dually rear axle, an extended or long bed, or a camper shell. Significantly lifted or oversized vehicles may need our oversized vehicle service instead of a standard carrier. Accurate measurements now prevent a turned-away load or a revised price later.
